Non-update news...
I just wanted to post an update about my lack of updating! My motherboard caught fire on Christmas Eve (gah!) and my computer has been in the shop. They assure me since I have a gazillion backups my beloved Rainbow Ridge is safe and sound. I was halfway through the new round, with a bunch of updates already written just not posted. So hopefully in a few days I'll atleast get those out there. Just wanted to let everyone know!

Its so good that you back up! Whoa I can't imagine did you notice the fire right away? Your fan must be on the fritz? I had to have my fan replaced a couple months ago. I don't think my HP was built figuring on hours of playing the sims at a time. Happy Simming, and I wanted to say I liked your page when I first saw it, before I joined the group.
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain! My hard drive went corrupt christmas eve . . . and stupid me tried to fix it myself because HP Customer Service sucks *&%, and I made a bigger mess of my laptop. And needless to say it's still not fixed because I refuse to give HP one more dang cent of mine for a restore disc!! Sad times . . BUT my sims were backed up! Yipeeeee! But I miss them sooooo . . . .
ReplyDeleteBen Endeavor: I did notice the fire right away, it was just a quick flash of flame, then out. I still (stupidly) turned the computer back on, got it to work for a minute, then it died till the computer guy got ahold of it! Thankfully he managed to get into my backup files, but that was about it! Thanks for reading, BTW!
ReplyDeleteMrs. Stuffy: It's horrible, isn't it? How attached we become to these little pixels, plus all the work we put into them! Hope you get yours up and running soon! ( I had to bite the bullet and invest more money, hehe, even though I said I wouldn't!)
