Update Posts Past and Present

Photobucket

I am attempting to make the site easier to find your way around, and to get to know who's who.
I started doing yearly/daily rounds at livejournal, so the first 12 years/days are linked there, in a totally different format.
It was at around year 13that I decided to change the whole format, I figured the town was still young, so why not?
But if it's still confusing, I apologize. I'm working on that! :)
Also, for a summary of each of the four founding family lines, from year one to the present, you
can click on their names here:

  5. Yeah, I know it's a little overwhelming and spread out, I'm working on making it easier for everyone, myself included! LOL One year?! How cool that you noticed that, I never would have! I would have thought I'd gotten further along by now, I've just barely reached generation 3! :)

  6. I love that little cork board thing you've got going on there - how do you do it????

  7. simstate, thanks! It was actually pretty easy, just time consuming. I used powerpoint this time, but have done it with just gimp. I just googled(or photobucket, flickr, etc.) images of cork for the back ground, and the tacks too. The pics I placed randomly, then added frames, notes and tacks. The tape was a little harder, I just made a jagged edged rectangle with gimp, then messed with the opacity till it was transparent. I saved that as an jpg then just placed them randomly around too. It was easier than I'm making it sound! :)

  9. Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She placed the
shell to her ear and screamed. There was
a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never
wants to go back! LoL I know this is totally off topic but I had to tell
    someone!
